Our literacy work is critical to disrupting intergenerational poverty and ending the school to prison pipeline. We bring the joy of reading to all kids by providing culturally specific books and in some cases, building culturally specific libraries to serve our youth. We are instilling the love of reading and making literature more accessible to our youth. We provide access to tutoring and we want every child to have the opportunities that prepare them for reading at grade level.

We’re inspiring a passion for reading by partnering with adults through the Portland Metro area to record themselves reading kids’ favorite books. We distribute these recordings, so youth throughout Portland can be read to at any moment.
