PEACE & UNITY FEST 23’

This year, our Peace & Unity Fest marked the first anniversary of the Center Powered By Y.O.U.TH! It was a wonderful way to gather with community and prepare for the new school year. Thanks to all who came and supported, we were able to hand out 150 backpacks, 35 free haircuts to youth, loads of new school supplies, and books.

This event was hosted by Blacque Butterfly and DJ'd by Jae Lava. Malik, the Hairapist came to help our students prepare for the school year with fresh haircuts. Graceiela came to heal the crowd with sound therapy. There were bounce houses, delicious food vendors, candles, jewels, books, and special visits from a few of our favorite organizations, such as Culzzles, Project Pipeline, Multnomah County Library, Decoding Dyslexia, Black Parent Initiative, and OSU.
